what do you reckon are the chances that some of them will actually bid?

biglips · 25/09/2007 20:35

maybe....or they are just watching to see how much it went for. How many days have u got left?

newlifenewname · 25/09/2007 20:36

What is the item. If it's a packet of mouldy crackers, no.

DumbledoresGirl · 25/09/2007 20:39

It is a very good condition rainbows uniform so I think there should be some interest (mouldy crackers lol!) I am trying to buy Brownies items and they go for ridiculous prices so I think the watchers on the Rainbow uniform are probably serious. I just wish they would get on and bid! There are just under 2 days to go.

Ahh, but really serious bidders only bid in last 24 hours ime. You should be fine!

wouldnt worry will definetly go, I tend to wait until last couple of hours and most things I sell go up in last couple of hours.

MrsBadger · 25/09/2007 20:41

I only ever bid in the last hour - you should be fine

DumbledoresGirl · 25/09/2007 20:43

Thanks for reassurance girls. I was stunned that someone put in a bid on the very first day - thought that was odd to bid so quickly - but I have sat and watched the number of watchers go steadily up all week and no-one is cracking yet!

Why is it that the things I want to buy go out of my price range before I even get to bid but the things I sell are bought for a song?

How did it go? I had 40+ watchers on a boys coat I had listed last week (which reminds me I need to relist) but none of them bought it!.

Hulababy · 26/09/2007 14:49

Some some things recently and has no bids on most until last 24 hours despite several watchers.

DumbledoresGirl · 26/09/2007 17:37

Auction not finished yet Saltire - finishes in about 24 hours. I have had one bid on it all week but was ridiculously happy last night when I checked the item just before going to bed and found someone had literally just bid! Went to bed smiling, sad soul that I am! There has been another bid today too. Still 12 watchers but I imagine most will consider it too expensive now.

I have 75 watchers at the moment, auction finnishing in 4 days. I better sell for the price I want!

Up til now I always found that having 8 watchers was really good, and that usually nearly guaranteed a sale. I think you will be ok.

DumbledoresGirl · 27/09/2007 09:13

Good grief SSN, what are you selling?

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 27/09/2007 09:16

My item is up to £11.50 and there are now 13 watchers and still over 10 hours to go. I am satisfied as I only wanted £10 for the item anyway!

This is fun! I wish my other items were doing as well.

Dumbledoresgirl (how do you shorten that?)

Well done for getting a price higher than expected.

I was shocked once I sold a baby bouncer for £35 + postage, never thought it would fetch that much. But it was luxurious, in excellent condition, with black and white zebra pattern. When I looked at buyers other purchases they had ONLY bought black and white baby items, preferably with zebra pattern! That is why ebay is so great!

I am selling my ..... campervan.

DumbledoresGirl · 27/09/2007 10:22

Most people shorten my name to DG.

Wow, a campervan! In which case, £75 would be a snip! Is it one of those hippy VW ones?

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 27/09/2007 10:23

Oh sorry, I am complete fool! You said 75 watchers not selling it for £75. I am sooooooooooo

How much are you hoping to get for it?

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 27/09/2007 10:25

Just checked out the world of campervan sales on ebay. Amazing! Virtually ever single auction has at least one bid. It must be a really competitive way to sell your vehicle.

StarryStarryNight · 27/09/2007 10:33

I am hoping to get between 6-8 k. But I have a reserve on it, current bid is at 1.750, but with 76 watching now and still a few days to go i am hoping I will get somewhere. I am also advertising it on Autotrader, so we will see.
