Help!

I bought an item on ebay last night and paid for it immediately.

However, I have recieved an email from the seller this morning telling me that the wrong email address is registered with paypal and can I send payment to ..... and another email address.
No mention of a refund for the payment I have already made!
She says the item is also wrapped and ready to post, feels like a kind of bribe.

I've sent a reply saying that as I've already paid I am unable to send another payment to the other email address plus, I am sure that I can only send payment to the paypal registered address or I am not covered.

Is she trying to pull a fast one do you think? Should I be worried?

TIA

Ok, thanks for replying.

So, if the email address registered is not correct she won't be able to take the payment?

I wouldn't have a clue how to pay her by paypal to the address she has just sent me anyway I'm still in the throes of getting the hang of it all!

you are right, you will not be covered in the event that she is not genuine. do not make another payment it is her responsibility to make sure her details are kept up to date... whats the feedback like?

It's not idfficult for her to change the registered email address on her account. I would ask her to do this saying you are new to it all, she can't expect you to take a risk like that, especially if it is expensive. I had this happen a few weeks back, and I went into my paypal history, saw the payment was unclaimed, and cancelled it with the button next to it.
I then sent the second payment. I trusted her and it wasn't much money but it is still not covered if something goes wrong, so you're best to let her sort it.

Thank you Ladies! I have found the cancelled button in paypal and so have done just that!

I will email her and tell her to change her address in paypal and i will send payment again.

Thank you for your help x
