Can I respond to negative feedback? Totally unjustified & can prove it!

Buyer not received item. I contacted Royal Mail, they admitted liability (I sent copy to this letter to buyer) and I immediately refunded buyer, who has now left negative feedback which is totally incorrect.

Her communication throughout process has been confrontational and whilst not initially intending to get into a "tit for tat" situation, I cannot see a way to respond/leave negative feedback. Is it possible?

Yes, you can. On your feedback page scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is a link for replying to feedback. This then gives you a page with the option to reply to individual feedback. Keep it factual and polite though. E.g. this buyer was given an immediate refund. There is also a link where you can request revision of feedback here. One negative though is unlikely to impact your sales much though although I appreciate is very annoying when unwarranted.

Speak directly with ebay through their chat system if this is up & running. Tell them the facts and they’ll remove the feedback.

Thank you both. I'll explore options and, if they work and I am at least able to defend myself with factual evidence, then I will be very happy!

I have been burned too many times by eBay I won't sell on it again- recently sold bnwt dress, spotless but event had planned to wear to cancelled. Sold dress, multiple pics- buyer then stated was stained and wanted refund so said I would and tried to do the return paid label thing as knew it was fine when left me, but they apparently had 'binned it' and bloody PayPal still gave the refund! Is it that normal?!

Sorry for thread rant OP!

Titiana - that's exactly the kind of thing that worries me about selling on Ebay. It does seem they take the side of the buyer more often than not, guess it's the easier route. However, pleased to report I managed to find the way of leaving a response to feedback - many thanks to those who helped me with that. May not change anything, but I certainly felt a lot better for being able to have my side of it documented.

@TitianaTitsling
I'd be stalking their social media and seeing if your dress makes an appearance ! Have had similar happen to me, 3 months later they were selling said item (fairly unique) on ebay at a profit and said 'only had 3 months' too - so I copied it to Paypal, and they agreed with me.

Ariela - that's good to hear about your item. On the whole the process seems a little biased in favour of buyer (and yes, I do buy things as well as sell), but it's nice to "win" and justice be done. Or is it a bit of karma?
