Selling on Ebay & Reliable Couriers

Hello Gang,

Having lost my job early this year i've started buying and selling various things on ebay. Its going pretty well but i've had a bit of a nightmare with Couriers.

I've been using MyHermes which has been good until the pandemic, they have lost three of my parcels and put me out of pocket nearly £200!

What is everyones experience with Hermes? Any other recommendations?

My Hermes has been good to me, they are cheap and most of all very convenient.

Last week I sent off 5 parcels and only four were delivered. One did not leave the shop! So now i dont trust my local shop, which seemed a bit suspect anyway. This will set me back £80- ARGH

What are you buying and selling if i may ask?

I use a mix of Royal Mail and My Hermes. If its a high value item I use the former, although I did sell a £600 monitor through Hermes and it was fine.

Do you use the Printing Service through Ebay? I find its slightly cheaper, especially for Royal Mail.

Don't you opt for the insurance with my Hermes?
I have claimed a few times when parcels not delivered.

Hermes has been good for me - if it is a high value item I pay for the insurance though.
