To buy or not to buy

Hi,
I am having a dilema. I am looking at buying a guitar and have found one on ebay. In the shops they are around £300 plus the cost of a case we are looking at around £360. The one on ebay is at 122 with 2 days left on it. I emailed the seller to ask why he was selling it and is there a returns policy to which the answer was no. Do I go for this one or wait and spend the extra money in the shop.

Why was the seller selling it?

even if he says there is no returns policy, if you pay via paypal then there is. If it arrives damaged or not as described then you can return it (at your expense and trackable) and paypal will find in your favour and issue a refund.

I'd be wary about buying a 2nd hand guitar. If it hasn't been stored correctly the neck may have warped (as an example) A good music shop that sells 2nd hand may be a better option

he is selling it because it has just been sitting in his cupboard for a while and he is expecting a new arrival and could do with the money
