I bidded on a dress two weeks ago and won the auction. The seller says she only accepts personal cheques and i was ok with that, then in another email says she accepts paypal. That was even better so she confirmed to me that i could pay by paypal. I asked her to send me an invoice so i could pay straight away and have heard nothing...... Do i dispute this and persintley email her or as i have not paid just write it off. The thing that worrys me is i have commited to buy but as she has taken so long without any correspondance the dress is no longer needed. Have checked her feeback and 7 comments have given her a feedback of 76%
Please help! What should i do?

i think you can open a dispute that you received no contact from seller. 76% is very poor!

Have you emailed the seller? This happened to me, I emailed her 3 times with no reply. In the end I requested the phone no, only to be told by her mum that she no longer lived there. I reported her and ebay looked into it and closed the transaction. I think they struck her off aswell.

you can pay without an invoice.

If you are worried about the lack of communication and no longer need the dress you could leave it, but you may get a NPB filed against you resulting in a strike. Maybe a neg too.

If you pay via paypal you are covered, so if she doesn't send the dress you can file a NPS and get your money back. You are not covered if you send a cheque.
