Grotty item

I ordered an item of clothing off eBay, it arrived today wrapped in a carrier bag with electrical tape around it.

When I opened it the smell of cigarette smoke mingled with washing powder was overwhelming, it was also covered in long white dog hairs.

The listing does mention 'wear' to the side but it it is significantly more worn than that.

The buyer is being quite aggressive and accusing me of lying and wearing the item (I signed for the parcel at 6pm and emailed the seller at 6.15!)

They have told me to send it back. S they the will counter claim and I will lose the item AND my money!

Can I return an item for being manky and smelly if the seller states 'no refunds'?

I wouldn't return it, I would open a case with PayPal eBay and day that the item was not as implied in the advert

Open a case with Ebay

Open a case with eBay significantly not as described. Add photos with close ups of dog hairs and any damage not mentioned in the listing.

Am I being over dramatic? Smokers can't smell fag smoke quite often so I don't know if I'm being picky. The patches of wear/stains on the waistband weren't mentioned (2nd photo) though.

I've just 'face stalked' the buyer - they're profile picture is a picture of hem rolling around with about 6 dogs 🤣 (they denied having any animals and smoking and said it was from my house - no fags or pets here!)

That's trampy! Why would they send something o it like that...

I have dogs, their fur does not get on my laundry at all. All over me once I've touched the pets. That hasn't been washed, probably just sprayed with frebreeze why you can smell that

PepsiLola · 13/01/2020 22:57

That being the washing powder you wrote in your op... sorry I was haven't a mind blank 😂

gads, grim

The seller has received the return they have until Tuesday to refund me before eBay get involved.

The trousers have been relisted with a passive aggressive 'this item is from a pet free home' ... and there are still some of the same dog hairs clearly visible on them!! 🤣

And thanks for the support - I didn't know whether I was being 'picky'

I raised a dispute on a man's jacket that smelt musty and smokey - said that the smell should have been included within the listing. Despite the seller's denials, eBay sided with me and I had full refund and postage paid.
