Of course it's in the UK! It's just a group of islands off the north west coast of Scotland. Shipping costs will have to include a ferry trip.

Western isles are Scottish but there are others. Why are you questioning whether it is UK? I think the shipping costs are due to distance and ferry/air costs.

Not sure about couriers. Most will charge extra.

Well you can send via Royal Mail for exactly the same. Parcels are different.
