I sold an item on Ebay, collection in person only but had payments set to cash on collection and PayPal.
No contact from buyer after a number of messages so after 7 days I started Unpaid item process which takes 4 days before you can cancel. Day before unpaid item dispute ended I had a message from the buyer to say paid by PayPal and requesting collection details. I messaged back with collection info and also a polite request to see if they were ok to pay by cash if possible (I would refund PayPal payment first). I have had no further response despite having sent further messages. It has now been nearly 3 weeks.
My question - what do I do next? If I refund and cancel transaction would I be liable for selling fees even if I listed on £1 selling fee day?
Currently stuck with 2 chunky items and £100 in PayPal that I cannot use. I would like to relist soon as there were other buyers interested.
Why would someone pay and not arrange to collect, not even a message to explain delay?
