Currently sell on depop and eBay. Vintage seems to go for peanuts on eBay. Depop 00s/90s stuff seems to sell better than actual vintage. Thinking of venturing into Etsy but I'm a complete novice. Does anyone sell vintage stuff on there? From what I've gathered a pay a fee to list for 4months followed by a final fee from sale.

Hi moominfan I have an Etsy shop. You pay 0.15p for one listing which is valid for four months or unless you sell the item before that. There’s 5% transaction fee and 4% + 0.20p payment processing fees too and VAT is in there too.

It’s infuriatingly confusing fee structure but Etsy has a fantastic footfall and all in all the fees work out approx 13-15% per item cost. Oh and shipping also has 5% fee. Etsy pushes free shipping very heavily, just be warned.

Join the Etsy UK sellers help group on FB, it’s a super helpful group.

Yes and it's going really well. Most of my sales are international. It took a while to get going when I started so you may need to be patient.

You can also pay more for ads, but I don't and seem to do well without.

Moomin Just wondered whether you took the plunge and started a shop on Etsy? I'm thinking of starting one next year and was wondering how it is going?

I sell on Etsy vintage items I want a definite price for as opposed to the randomness of ebay and it mainly goes to America.
Good vintage items do sell well on Etsy.
