Hi everyone,
I've just had an item delivered and it is not as described.
It is shoes and they not patent leather. They are just leather.
Any suggestions?
I paid a lot for postage.

You need to contact the seller in the first instance

Thanks. Not sure what to do, whether or not to keep them.

Do you think I could ask for a partial refund or something?

You need to decide what you want. You are entitled to ask for a partial refund based on the fact they aren't as described.

How much could I ask for?
I do like them but they're not as described.

You can ask for a partial refund, the seller doesn’t have to agree though. They can be forced to refund in full (inc original postage costs) once the item is returned (at their cost).

Thanks for the replies.I'll have a think. I'm a bit disappointed. They are nice but not quite what I thought they'd be and being me I still want the right ones. The price was good but £££ postage.

I think the postage cost is a separate issue and shouldn’t really come into asking for a partial refund for a mis described item.

If you’re not happy with them just return them for a full refund (inc postage).

I am happy with them in that they are very nice and the right size, it's just that they aren't patent leather.

I raised a not as described for an item of clothing that was advertised as cotton/linen mix but was actually polyester/cotton if not entirely polyester. After a few ridiculous offers from the seller I got to keep it and got a full refund but I didn't wear it.
It said that the seller was in Manchester but I'm not sure whereabouts in China Manchester is.

I am not a CF and wouldn't expect a full refund with the shoes.
