Seller asking to cancel

I've just sold a phone. Within half an hour, the seller has asked to cancel. He's got feedback from 2 people saying he did the same to them. WTF?! How can people do this and just get away with it? Can I refuse to cancel? What happens then? I'm fuming 😤

I'm an idiot. The buyer is asking to cancel🤦‍♀️

You can refuse to cancel and when they inevitably don’t pay report them to EBay as a non-paying bidder. When you report them it may well be worth messaging EBay with details of the feedback where they’ve done it before. You will get all your fees back so you shouldn’t lose out (except for the obvious inconvenience).

Ah thank you, I will do that 👍

I would cancel & publicise their name on one of the anon forums. You do not want to do business with this person.

WannabeGlamper · 16/10/2019 21:15

I'd just cancel it, block them, and offer the item to the next bidder.

ViciousJackdaw · 19/10/2019 01:55

No, please don't cancel. Enough NPB black marks and the buyer will be banned, meaning they won't be able to mess people around anymore.

neah.. it turns out my cowbagness isn't so bad.
I just had someone ask to cancel & I didn't even look at their f/back.
I'm just glad they let me know & didn't leave me hanging, not sure why they haven't paid.
So I have cancelled & I wouldn't bad mouth.

Maybe it's different if you're selling something 'hot' and desirable so the situation really has wasted your time coz you could have easily sold to someone else already. In contrast to me, I'm selling something that is low demand.
