Babydan playpen/stairgate. How much can I ask for it?

How do you decide how much to ask for an item. I will probably not sell it on ebay, but I thought someone might have an idea.

It cost me ?150 and they now cost ?169 here in Germany. They are not common here and so none on ebay at the moment.

A friend of a friend (well another Mum from kindergarten, not really a friend) is interested, I thought maybe about ?50, but is that too little? I have seen one second hand online and they want ?80 for it.

They usually go for 40 - 50 pounds second hand - not clear whether you mean pounds or euros. With an item like that with an established second hand value I usually start the auction at 99p as it tends to get lots of people interested and bidding against each other early on.

Oops, MN doesn't do my euro signs. I meant euros. I will see if the woman who is interested wants it, if not, ebay here I come.
