Hi, Im having big paypal problems at the moment. Long story - but not my fault and I am VERY VERY annoyed at them!! Im seriously considering closing my account.
My question is, do you still buy items when you can't pay by paypal, and are there any other alternatives which you use?
I have been a 'paypal only' seller for along time. I sell second hand personal items which rarely sell for more than £10.
I have set up a nochex account, which is an online credit/debit card server. The sort of thing you would use if you bought something from amazon etc. You type your card details into their secure server and its sends me the payment - buyers don't need to sign up for an account. Its a fair bit cheaper than paypal. They also have the visa/matercard logos you can paste into your acutions, and a link to make payment that you send out in your end of auction emails.
I would also be able to take cheques and postal orders.
So my question is would you buy from me if I didn't accept paypal? Would you be happy to use nochex to pay me? Im trying to decide if I should tell paypal where to stick their account or try and work it out with them.
Honest opinions really appreciated.
ps I have a good feedback rating with 100% positive.
