Help - Maclaren not as described and seller now ignoring me

I just bought a maclaren for £65 - chose this one because it came with rain cover. It arrived without a rain cover so I emailed the seller who said it was in the basket . Obviously it was not in the basket so I emailed him back to tell him so. He said he'd have a look for it...

This was Thursday and I've heard nothing since. He's ignoring my emails now. What do I do? £65 is a lot for an incomplete item.

Check out how much a replacement raincover will cost and ask for a refund for that amount, see if you get any response then open dispute?

Let the seller know that if he cant give you an answer within the next 2 hours, you are going to report this to ebay and give him a negative feedback.

If you paid through paypal start a claim now (it takes about 30 days)

same thing happened to me, i bought my own raincover then got a refund through paypal x

Thanks. I escalated through paypal and the seller is now saying I am "trying it on" because the raincover was in the package he sent! Obviously it wasn't and he seemed to accept it wasn't because a week ago he sent an email saying he would look for it.

This has made me disproportionately furious.

Why on earth would I try to scam a raincover from him? It's of no use to me to have two.

And it's upsetting to be embroiled with such a nasty person. Ugh.

Can anyone help? I raised a dispute with paypal and told them I could send evidence that the raincover was not included. I have now received an automated email saying I can return the buggy to the sender for a refund.

This is not a resolution as it will cost me £12 to return it. I don't see why I should lose out because of this but there's no sign on paypal of how to respond saying I do not accept this (they have not even requested the evidence I can send them which includes emails from the seller saying he will look for the missing raincover).

you can either try ringing paypal and explaining the number is on the contact us bit or returning the buggy using paypal for £6.99
