"The boy's parents contacted police and detectives swiftly arrived at the house and counted the money".

sparklygothkat · 18/07/2007 10:20

ooooooooooooo it was me!!!!!

thehairybabysmum · 18/07/2007 10:20

i heard this on the radio...i bet he was gutted his parents reported it!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/07/2007 10:22

oh my god!

never even heard htis, bet the people who sent it are p*ssed!

sixlostmonkeys · 18/07/2007 10:24

I'm thinking the phone number for the police in Norfolk must be similar to the phone number for the travel agents. easy mistake I guess

sparklygothkat · 18/07/2007 10:26

bet the boy is p*issed off he didn't open it in his bedroom, how many PS2s could he have brought with that!!!

sixlostmonkeys · 18/07/2007 10:30

ok then answer if you dare...

...if this parcel arrived at your door, normal post - you didn't have to sign for it - what would you have done??

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 18/07/2007 10:31

you as in all of you

OP posts:
SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/07/2007 10:36

kept it

could do with 1/10 of that!

Wuxiapian · 18/07/2007 10:36

I'd know it was too good to be true and whoever sent it would soon realise their error.

sparklygothkat · 18/07/2007 10:37

errr....... dunno, Part of me would like to think I would hand it in, but then part of me would be screaming 'KEEP IT'

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/07/2007 10:37

but surelyWuxiapian it is not kosha money and therefore they arent gunna do much...oh i dunno, they have your address after all

goingfor3 · 18/07/2007 10:40

I would tell the police only because they people who sent it have my adress, maybe I would slip a few in my pocket before the people arrive though

thehairybabysmum · 18/07/2007 10:54

Probably report it....would be worried about Mafia types turning up on doorstep. Im sure i would siphon of enough for a new kitchen first though!

It said on the radio this morning he may get to keep it if noone claims it though

sixlostmonkeys · 18/07/2007 11:10

I keep mulling over this (when I really should be working )

My train of thought so far....
A 'genuine' person would have reported money the minute they realised it had been posted, therefore the sender is 'dodgy'
Dodgy person has your address.
Dodgy person can't get his money back cos you've involved the police.
In september when it's still not claimed you get to keep the money. Dodgy person still has your address.

2 choices = 1. send the money back to dodgy person to save your kneecaps or 2. email dodgy person and say "where's my PS2 ? - have you sent it yet" then file for item not received (whilst hoping dodgy person is daft enough to belive item is lost in post) Use the money to move house and spend the rest on chocolate.

thehairybabysmum · 18/07/2007 11:13

in view of my other post re item not received yet...i think this must be my parcel....how do i put a claim in!!!

NeverTickleASleepingSoupDragon · 18/07/2007 11:14

I think that amount of money I would have reported to the police. I'm not sure how much my cut off point is though...

Beelliesebub · 18/07/2007 12:35

I'm with sixlostmonkeys.....

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/07/2007 16:19
