I will always combine postage if my postage will be reduced by posting two items together. If my P&P would not be any cheaper, and I would end up losing out by reducing P&P cpsts to the buyer, I will not offer a discount and will email back and say why.

erm, do it?

MilaMae · 16/07/2007 22:39

New to this.

Do you just charge the exact price the combined items will be, discount one of the p&p charges completely, or add the 2 but still calculate in a tiny bit extra for discrepencies and packaging????

It's up to you

are you aiming to make money on postage?

Don't discount one of them or you will lose money. You could -

charge exact price
add in little bit extra
add in a fair chunk extra
or politely decline to combine postage

all of these are acceptable things to do.

you can set up your ebay to auto deduct 50p (for eg)for each additional item. This can attract buyers and make life simpler.
If the combined postage is still too high I refund the difference.

Well, find out the postage cost for combining the two, and then charge that.
