Hoping someone can offer some advice.

The "cardigan" I won has turned out to not be a cardigan, but a jumper with buttons down the front.

I am really disappointed as it's a lovely colour/design and I wanted to wear it as a cardigan.

So, would I be able to ask for a refund for that reason? If so, would that include postage? She charged me £2.50 P&P and it actually only came to 60p.

Much thanks in advance.

Ok, well, I opened a dispute after emailing her twice and this morning I've received mail saying that if I return item, she'll give me full refund.

So, if I return item, how do I trust her to refund, or, should she refund first?

Thanks in advance.

send it by trackable means - ie rec del.

a tracking number is enough for paypal who issue refund (if she doesn't)

Well, I returned item and she said refund is being payed, but that was last friday.

How long do i give it?

Do you think I should contact her and ask?

Thanks in advance.

escalate to a claim within the dispute

Wuxiapian · 04/08/2007 10:33

It's now been 8 days now since her last contact saying refund being payed.

If I escalate claim, do you think they'll decide in my favour?

Much thanks in advance.

yes, it should be straight forward.

has she received it? have you tracked it online?

Wuxiapian · 04/08/2007 11:10

How annoying!

I tracked it and seller wasn't home to receive it, so they left card.

The parcel's been in the bloody offices for a week and today's the last day for her to collect it before they return it to me!

What am I to do?!

Thanks for your help.

oh crikey

I'd escalate the claim - and tbh I'd ask about this on the ebay boards

ScoobyDooooo · 04/08/2007 12:34

Esvulate the claim now as you have a tracking number, as long as you have this it should just go in your favour, with a dispute it goes from the buyer to the seller to the buyer so once you have typed in the tracking number it is in her hands & she will have to pay up or paypal automatically take the money from her paypal accout, if it is not in there it comes out of her bank or off her debit/credit card whatever she has registered!
