Posted an item via Hermes on Wednesday. Was delivered and left in a 'safe location' on Saturday but the customer says they haven't got it. I have photo proof from Hermes saying delivered.
Will I have to refund??
I don't want to be £60 down.
Thanks

If you allowed Hermes to leave in a safe place then it might be down to you. However if you instructed them to get a signature it’s Hermes fault and after you’ve refunded the buyer you can claim from Hermes.

Then you must take it up with Hermes to get your money back.

Was it an eBay sale?
OK first protect yourself by uploading the tracking number against the sales record. eBay won’t make you refund.

Then work with the buyer and hassle Hermes for a refund. If you bug them enough they will refund. I’m presuming you purchased adequate insurance to cover £60? If not then I think the maximum is £20.

PS I find that the best way to contact them is through social media, you get UK based assistance that way.

Yes I paid extra for the insurance. I'm just worried because the buyer has now opened a case against me asking for me to refund.

Ahh thanks I'll try Hermes in social media if I don't have any luck.

Thankyou

As long as the tracking says delivered you won’t have to refund (eBay May issue a no fault refund from their won funds).
