DS bid £111,111.00 for something on ebay last night, while I wasn't looking .......and of course he won the auction !!!!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh ........

Fortunately it will only cost me £19.99, but I didn't actually WANT 17 assorted lego minifigs.

I know it's my fault. I had just bid on a duvet cover for ds, then left him browsing while I went to do something in the kitchen.

I had completely forgotton that you don't have to enter a password after you have made one bid.

20 quid won't break me, I guess, and I'll probably give them to ds as a birthday present in Sept.

£20 to put down to experience I guess.

He is 7, and has browsed on ebay before, which I didn't mind because there is no way he knows my password.

But I'd just forgotten that once you have placed a bid on something, you don't need to enter a password for subsequent bids

(Shuffles off muttering " stupid ... stupid ... stupid ... stupid ... " )

Luckily the seller was really understanding and didn't hold them to it

Popsy, please learn from my experience.

I do think (suddenly, today) maybe ebay should have an option setting that could be set to prompt for password for every bid.

In which case, would you consider nullifying the sale, if I pay your re-listing fees?

The phones are great actually, I can recommend them, and the seller.

Oh PLEASE let me cancel the sale, I promise I'll pay for relisting.

Seriously these phones are good. I bought them to replace our old non-dect ones, for our business line (work from home), and I'm really impressed, given the price.

Right, I'm off to write a pleading email.

Thanks snowwonder, I have realised that now, of course.

I mean Bl%%dy hell, I am supposed to be an I.T. support professional.

But when one is trying to cook dinner, support a dh who can't get an ikea bed to go together, keep ds occupied and out of the way of the bed .....

Yes, you can look at stuff already sold
If you look in the column to the left there is a tick box for completed items and I am a regular ebayer so found you within something like 5 seconds

they are nice and star wars stuff always goes quite well. have you heard back from the seller they could offer to the next bidder, worth a go.

haven't heard back from the seller this evening. I suspect he's out having a life .

If he won't cancel, then I probably will just put them towards ds's birthday present.
