Moths

Two people I know have recently found moths in their wardrobes and had to throw out most of their clothes.
The think the moths might have been brought into the house via clothes from Charity shops/Ebay.

Does anyone take precaution against this sort of thing happening when they buy clothes etc from Ebay, I am super paranoid at the moment?!

It’s not something I’ve ever encountered or even thought about to be honest!

They are tricky to kill. Don't buy anything with wool in it?

I tend not to buy wool, but they can also arrive with other natural fabrics.

I always wash fabrics when they arrive, or if it is a coat or similar I spray it with pet flea spray which also gets rid of moths. Wardrobes are also sprayed with it a couple of times a year as a precaution. There is rarely just one moth.
