Messed up item not being refunded

I received the wrong item and arranged with seller to send back and get refund and they haven't refunded me.
I think I was supposed to arrange sending it back via ebay but didn't.
Now I don't know what to do to get my money back.
Can anyone offer any advice please

I’m not sure you will get the refund because you didn’t go through the correct channel if ebay returns.

Did you actually return it or not? Outside of ebay?

I've actually sorted it now.
I had returned it. I didn't realise there was a way to officially return item. Will know for if it ever happens again.
