Misleading ads on ebay!

Last night I bid on what I thought were 2 twin baby outfits - 2 pictures, listed as "TWIN SUMMER SUITS" (plural) and no mention in the ad that you were only bidding on one ...

Won the item, went to pay this morning and saw that the quantity was "1 available", I'm sure 2 was specified last night. I have bid on and won 1 item.

Would that have been there before the listing ended and I was just stupid, or was this a purposefully misleading ad?

Just wanted to check before I complain, don't want to complain if it's my fault.

Thanks

Sorry, that should be, the 2 outfits were pictured together, (not 2 pictures)

If there were 2 outfits pictured together and the description does not say "please not you are bidding for only one of these" then you have probably won the pair of suits.

I would email the seller to check before complaining and give them the chance to explain

Grrrr · 20/06/2007 09:38

Surely the 1 available refers to one action lot, that auction lot being a pair of suits.

Just contact the seller and confirm the quantity before you pay.

yes agree must mean one lot, hope so

sixlostmonkeys · 20/06/2007 11:01

if it's the mothercare one then you should be getting suits (plural)
Like you say - its says suits (plural) the pic is of suits (two), the auction is for "twin summer suits"
So quantity one available should be 1 lot of twin suits.

She hasn't sold another of the suits (I had a look at the feedback) so there is no excuse for showing a pic of two items if only selling one.

Fingers crossed for you that it goes straight forward and you receive both - otherwise you have a case for item not as described

No reply to email yet, and can't pay her until she sends me her address. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks
