Just remembered that the air bag and stop lights on my dash come on periodically. Have had it all checked out and a full diagnostics done and there is no fault beyond an electrical one with the display. Have had it re-set a couple of times but it comes back again. Now, do I mention in listing as I'm updating it tonight anyway with a few extra details or is it insignificant enough to leave and be honest if viewers/buyers ask??

I would update listing and be honest otherwise could mean someone comes ot pick up then backs out.

sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 17:44

ooooo hope it sells, I did find your car, some people are very cheeky ain't they?? Offering you such a low amount, wonder if its the same person that offered us £600

sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 17:49

not a stalker btw, just being nosey as to what your start price was..

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 18:01

Thanks Nemo, I've updated with full details now. You confirmed what I was thinking

Sparkly, you must be close to end of your auction are you? I am SO nervous esp. as I haven't put a reserve on.

Bloke at garage reckoned I was about right in my expectation. Will be pleased at 1500, amazed with more and disappointed with 1000.

Yes, very cheeky. Even the dealer over the road said he'd give me 1000 for it this morning when I asked him! He knows he can make more on that of course.

I'm never doing this again, my heart is in my mouth! (is that the phrase?)

Oh, and one watcher may come over for a last minute viewing tonight. How do I conduct said viewing when I have 3 little tired children who will be more up for bed than a test drive?

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 18:05

ours finished on thursday. we have 15 watchers now

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 18:06

Ooh! Well done. I'm on 18 watchers without a SINGLE bid! Very annoying/stressy.

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 18:07

no bid yet either, its driving DH mad, he just wants someone to bid on it

sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 18:07

sorry ours finishes on thursday, not finished yet

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 18:07

Shall I? Just to make him happy! I 'aint buying it though!

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 18:10

lol better not!!

lionheart · 19/06/2007 18:11

It cost me £300 to have a new display for the same reason.

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 18:14

lordy! £300? I just live with it, new owner might have to at that price.

OP posts:
lionheart · 19/06/2007 18:25

I would have but it meant the engine didn't start a couple of times, so I had to get it fixed.

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 20:58

Sparkly, are you there? I'm super stressing. Just had a viewing and have 25 mins left.

I am being such a girl about this.

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 21:33

sorry, just seen this, Well done, it sold!!!

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 22:21

Hooray! Just got to find a replacement now. Will keep fingers crossed for yours on Thurs!

OP posts:
sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 22:24

are you happy with the price it sold at??

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 22:39

Yes, I think so. I met the buyer and he was sweet - buying for his teenage daughter who helped my lot to catch the rabbits in the rain while her Dad and I talked paperwork! So, I'm quite pleased about who bought it (again, no man would say this probably!) the price was just under my ideal and obviously not my 'wildest dreams' price so overall I'm smiling!
Very relieved, and could get addicted now after such adrenalin lol!

sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 22:44

glad he got it then. I had someone email me to see if we would sell with the alloys, DH said no, but I think he might change his mind if it puts the price up

newlifenewname · 19/06/2007 22:59

Is yours a 2nd car, i.e. will you have to replace it? Can't remember if you said in thread...

OP posts:
Peachy · 19/06/2007 23:08

do remember with low bids it doesn't mean someone hasnt bid more, just that nobody is bidding against them ioyswim

DH frequently buys ebay stuff for his shop (DJ things) and ofetn he will bid for something with a reserve- but he might bid £30 on something with a £20 reserve and not win because the starting price was £10 and that's all the bid EBAY showed. IYSWIM.

sparklygothkat · 19/06/2007 23:17

it is a 2nd car, but will need to replace it, as we need a 2nd car, if I am out, he has to be able to get the kids if anything is wrong (school quite far from our house)
