Parcel been tampered with item missing!

I received a parcel today, with 1 of 2 things missing. I contacted the seller and said think you’ve forgot to add this. She’s replied and said no she definitely included the missing item. She asked for pictures of the wrapping and does look like it could have been opened an resealed (different tape on the seal). She’s going to contact the courier firm.
What happens now, what do I do? I’ve not got the item and am out of pocket. Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Were the two items one order, or two separate ones?

If it was one order then you need to open a return request based on the item being not as described.

If it was two orders, open a not received case for the one that didn’t arrive.

If it has been damaged by the courier, then. It’s nothing to do with you. She can refund you and then claim back from the courier.

It was 1 order with a free item (goodwill). It’s the item I bid on and won which is missing.

Ah ok then order a not as described return request then.
