Hi! So i bought a "faulty iphone 6 plus" This is the description:

"Touchscreen doesn't work, cameras are black and lock button occasionally doesn't work, screen has issues.
iPhone itself is in good condition.
Sold as spares or repairs, no refunds or returns. "

However I've just unpackaged it and powered it on, and noticed a rather large yellow marking on the screen. This was not listed in the sellers description though, but they did comment saying the "screen has issues"... However the seller listed specific issues apart from this big yellow marking.
This mark was not visible on the sellers image at all.

Can i go about getting a refund? I've contacted the seller and they have told me no refunds. Who is in the right before i take this any further?

Many thanks

Definitely take it further with paypal/eBay. If it wasn't visible on the pictures its not as advertised.

I'd say no, they sold it as spares or repairs and clearly said no refunds or returns. Explained the screen has issues etc. Basically he explained in detailed terms the phone was buggered. I wouldn't waste your time.

I would say no, the seller was upfront that the screen was not in as-new condition and also clear that they were selling for spare parts or repairs, as the phone is faulty.

I'd say no, the seller was clear that the screen had problems.

Out of Interest why would you buy such a faulty phone? Confused
Seller did list faults with it so they was honest. However you can always open up a item not as described case, as that's what it is really because the other fault wasn't mentioned. But seller can argue it. See where you go with it and open a case if you aren't happy.
That fault not listed could have happened in transit.

They sold it as spares and repairs, and did the screen had issues. No you can’t return it. Well maybe you could as eBay always favour the buyer, but it would be a pretty dickish thing to do.

HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone · 10/10/2018 22:13

I would normally be on the buyers side and suspect if you want to return it then Ebay will be on your side too (they are sadly notoriously bias in that regard).

However I really don't understand why you would want to return it. I would say it was fairly described and you brought it knowing it was not fit for use hence spares and repairs. The seller stated it has screen issues which it does, the fact they did not write all the problems with the screen is irrelevant, as you knew the screen had issues which was clearly advertised.

I’m amazed you even tried to turn it on looking at that description. “Screen has issues” kind of says it all. Poor sod who sold you it - can’t win, they were totally honest About the condition 🤦🏻‍♀️
