Sold Motorbike, buyer collecting, can they refuse it?

So I had my motorbike on ebay. sold on monday night - buyer wants to collect on Saturday (paying cash)

Can they refuse it when they get here?

They could have viewed it at any time....

Any hints for accepting the cash? I have ordered a fake pen thingy, anything else?

Of course they can, you can hardly force them to hand over the cash, can you?

I’m regards to the cash, just check it over (in good light) and swipe a few of the notes with your anti counterfeit pen.

One thing to bear in mind is that some buyers turn up and offer less than the whole transaction amount leaving you to decide on the spot whether they're going to get a, say, 20% discount.

To deal with this I'm super helpful in the messages but mention in passing the amount I'm expecting.

They are approx 3 hours away from me - so obviously knew this morning they werent coming, but no, dont tell me, let me hang around

i'm not cancelling it - s/he cant admit they are in the wrong, if they wanted to cancel before i would have been annoyed, but to make me wait from Monday night to 5 mins before pick up time

Yes, report them, far too many buyers on ebay take the piss and ebay do nothing about it.

Do they not know how many sellers they are losing because of this.

Of course you can't force the person to buy your bike but I'd definitely report them
