Why do I bother with eBay

Went back to ebay to earn extra cash again. Someone bought trousers and are telling me they are tall so the trousers are too short for them and want a refund and happy to send them back. I have no refunds listed in the post. There is clearly nothing wrong with the trousers so can they ask for this? The postage costs more than what the buyer paid! They said I missold but I didn’t. She’s raising a dispute which is fine go for it but really pees me off!

Did you include measurements with your listing? You really need to do when selling clothing, to avoid these types of situations as different brands can vary a lot.

If they raise a dispute they will win, sadly. Not fair but that’s just the way eBay works.

“No refunds” doesn’t mean anything if the buyer claims the item has been Mis described, I’m afraid.

eBay are cunts to sellers, and people want something for nothing- it's a lethal combination.

I would be inclined not to refund, but they will probably give you bad feedback.

I would be inclined not to refund

If the buyer opens an official dispute, then the OP won’t have a choice whether to refund or not.

I stopped selling on eBay due to this. You literally have no chance to defend yourself once someone opens a dispute. I have ended up paying for people to have stuff!
I sell quite a bit on face book now or just give it away knowing at least someone will
Use it or charity shop will benefit .

I take photos with a tape measure for this reason.

I have also given up on eBay. It’s not worth the hassle between taking time to write the description and take pictures, to making little money after eBay and PayPal costs, then issues caused by buyers. I had an item get lost in post and it was a nightmare even though I did everything by the book.
