If you post something from the channel islands to scotland more often than not, it will go missing - am I correct in presuming this is nonsense?

Thats nonesense!
And if it was true and he was aware of it he should have let you know before hand and offered recorded delivery.
Have you asked if he has a proof of postage reciept?

After all this time even the royal mail would consider the item lost and will refund him (if he posted them in the first place)
You can now claim item not received and get a full refund.

Items get lost in Scotland!! yikes - I sell loads to Scotland too.
I wouldn't mind getting lost in scotland - i like scotland

I sent a package to the Channel Islands (from Scotland too!) & it was a bit slower to arrive than the rest of the stuff posted that day but only by a few days. Tell him you want a refund & he can then claim from the post office.

I live in the Channel Islands, and things just take a bit longer, but sometimes they can be equally as fast actually! Well from England the next day. he is talking silliness.

hope you get it sorted.
