Hi guys. Ive decided to try reselling some clothes on ebay. Sales are slow so i need some advice. Should i do auction or buy it now and is free postage better?
I'm doing auction at the moment.

Clothes don’t generally go for much unless they are in demand brands.

It’s up to you, if you stick with auctions then make sure you start the price at what you would actually take for it. Not at 99p if you really want £10.

Some brands sell well.
Sales are often slow, and you will be better off listing things when people are thinking of them - keep your summer things until the spring or summer.
You can bundle things (e.g. 3 office skirts size 12) if you want to get rid of similar items.
I relisted something several times with no success until last week and got lovely feedback. Made very little but at least someone liked my much loved coat that I was not all that keen on selling as I liked it but wasn't wearing it.

Depends what brands and how much you want, but definitely consider bundling as that way buyers only have to pay one postage charge so the per item cost is not so high (and makes no difference to you)

I have two lovely coats that DD has grown out of - one of them only worn once .
One from Zara, one from Monsoon.
I’m in the same boat as you OP.
I think I going to try a buy it now price with P&P included in the price I want.
If it doesnt sell then I will re try an auction with a 99p starting price .

Is it just me or does eBay seem more complicated than a few years ago? It seems much harder to sell things.
I sold lots of DD clothes/ child related Things for the first 5 years . It just seems a lot harder to sell things now.
Maybe the novelty has worn off.........

I usually look by brand or by a specific item, so hypothetically would search for Clarks or Hotter rather than shoes, so maybe it would help to bundle with one good name. e.g. Skirt bundle, one Boden or similar might help.
Not tried it myself, but unless I was after something very specific I'd be unlikely to search for standard high street stuff.
Other brands are available - I just tried to pick British ones.

Look at sold prices for your item/similar to get idea of realistic price.
