Hi,

This is the first time I encountered a smelly footwear. I've purchased used footwear before and none of them have a bad smell. Can this be considered as item not as described? The description are just standard ebay description ie smoke free and pet free, much loved shoe worn with defects.

Thanks.

You can try contacting the the seller but it's sold as a used, I doubt very much you'll get anywhere with a refund. But you can always leave feedback that will make people think before buying cheesy shoes again off this seller

Isn't 'much loved' ebay code for perverts?

user1345 · 22/08/2018 00:14

@sunflowergarden
I wasn't sure how to describe smelly shoes but yes, it smells cheesey. I'm going to give it a go. Any tips that I should be aware of when putting in a claim for INAD?

@userplusnumbers
I'm not aware of that and no, I'm not a pervert, I swear :P

I'm aware buying any used item, it wont be pristine and have to do due diligent from the photo listings and description. I do wish that if you have smelly feet to at least neutralise the smell/deodorise or be aware of it and have the courage to put it in the listing.

OMG yes OP it is what all the shoe fetish buyers/sellers say.

Your shoes have probably been deliberately 'smelled'

Yes, “well loved” is code for stinky shoes for those who appreciate them like that Grin

I know this don't help our OP but I'm heading to my shoe cupboard and getting on eBay I'll make a fortune 😂. Let us know how you get on @user1345 🤞

Usually the code is 'well worn' but I suppose 'well loved' is just as good.

Did you check out the seller first? Always a good idea to look at their other items for sale and the feedback left and received.

Best to contact the seller first, and just ask if you can return them, if they refuse then open a case.
