quick question - what is size 38 in UK sizes? 10 or 12??

Ive just bought aq top from H&M and it says 38 - 12

But my size 8 clothes say 36 so surely 38 is a size 10??????

I'd say a 10-12

I thought 38 was a size 14. at how many different opinions are on here.

I think 36 - 8
38 - 10
40 - 12
42 - 14
44 - 16

Depends on the country - Italian 38 is UK 8, French 38 is UK 10, German 38 is UK 12 (all approximate).

I've just looked at the labels in a few of my clothes , bog standard high-street stuff of course , and M&S, DP and Next state size 8 UK = 36 Euro.

And yet I find French clothes a far closer fit; size 6/8 is tight on me!

size 6 just HANGS off me

There's no such thing as Euro sizing... unless it's a British invention. All countries have different sizing conventions (and all brands size differently).

well ive gone and listed things as size 12 anyway...

next time, i shall be more specific: what is size 38 in H&M sizing? (i would say 12. prob. well i did anyway... )

well bought a pair of shorts that were size 14 but label says 40 today
