Greedy mare! It's eBay ... she won't get anything like what she wants for it. She should have put a notice in her Post Office window if she wanted more.

Stick to your guns, Rhino!

well done. there is only a travel system on there

sixlostmonkeys · 02/06/2007 16:23

I'd say leave it till the last minute and bid at starting price - BUT the fact that she says it's being advertised elsewhere means she will remove the auction if she gets no bids soon.

If you do go for it I'd double check how she proposes delivering it to you - it's not clear on the listing

NormaStanleyFletcher · 02/06/2007 16:51

So who is the friend who has one of those?

Trinityrhino · 02/06/2007 17:11

lol norma...I wonder

she replied with
'well, we will see what bids i get
if you change your mind get in touch'

Keep a watch on it - I once got turned down on an offer for a bumhugger nappy 'cos the woman said she had loads of watchers on it & it sold at auction for half what I'd offered. Couldn't help being pleased at that

Trinityrhino · 02/06/2007 17:16

lol i have it on my watch list
that would be funny

Have you tried auctionsniper, you put your top price in and it puts a bid in , however many seconds you specify before the auction ends

NormaStanleyFletcher · 02/06/2007 17:52

I could pick it up for you if it is still available and drop it off later this month.

Trinityrhino · 02/06/2007 19:51

I don't like red

OP posts:
NormaStanleyFletcher · 02/06/2007 20:03

Well you never told me that you don't like red

I did my best for you today on shopping though - really - didn't I???

LazyLine · 02/06/2007 20:04

Personally I would never bid on something that is described as being sold elsewhere. It simply means that you are likely to get the rug pulled out from under your feet.

She's a cheeky mare asking for that much!
