Does anyone here have any experience using the EMS tracking system?

I take it you’ve ordered something from China?

I think you search for China post tracking, and enter the number and that tracks it before it leaves China, then when it enters the U.K. you use the parcelforce (or maybe Royal Mail) site enrich tracks it after it lands here.

Do you have a specific query / problem? Your Post is quite vague!

I know. I'm sorry!! Well I am a buyer. I bought an item from Japan and it was sent my EMS on Monday. However, the tracking number provided is still not registered on the EMS tracking system. I just wondered if I should be getting worried or if it takes a few days to register?

Thank you

I wouldn’t worry, the EMS tracking is pretty shit IME- maybe ask the seller to confirm what site to use to track the parcel as it isn’t as obvious as it seems.

Thank you. I'm always a bit dubious with tracking / courier things. So that makes me feel a bit better. I've got the right tracking site - I emailed EMS Japan too prior to posting here just in case of no response.

Even try parcelforce in a week or so and the tracking number on their site will tell you if it’s entered the U.K. yet.

It's just really annoying, I'm probably jumping the gun and it will appear on the Japan ems system but I was hoping paying for EMS would be reliable in terms of knowing progress. Thanks so much.

Plus, the seller is not good with communication, which is annoying.

@19lottie82 I called japan post today - they are saying the same thing. The item in meant to be here by the 20th so I'm going to obtain a refund if it isn't and purchase elsewhere. The sellers communication is not forthcoming and it's an expensive item so, if I have been messed around the sooner I can put in a claim the better so I can order elsewhere.

What a pain in the arse. Argh.
