sixlostmonkeys · 30/05/2007 21:02

misdee · 30/05/2007 21:03

what?

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:04

oh no! don't worry too much. what happened?

sixlostmonkeys · 30/05/2007 21:10

yeah, apparently i should have kept him posted over the weekend.

"Dear buyer, it is still bank holiday and the post offices are closed" -- sent every hour?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:12

ooh tell us the buyer? hehe

sound like you'll be able to get a retraction if you're negged

chilledmama · 30/05/2007 21:13

Sounds like he needs a dose of reality!!!

sixlostmonkeys · 30/05/2007 21:27

hehe, still exchanging messages with him
what a plonker!

Thing is HE posts as soon as he gets payment! woo hoo - I told him I appreciate his prompt payment and I only wish packing and posting an item could be done with the click of a button.
by eck but I'm being sarky

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 30/05/2007 21:43

ok - so now I'm getting angry with him.

anyone got any soothing calming words for me before I reply to him.

ohhh I'm so angry I could crush a crisp

OP posts:
southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:45

what has he said!?

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:46

How long was it between payment and postage?

Be honest

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2007 21:46

SLM

rise above it

be totally professional

it will piss him off no end

whomovedmychocolate · 30/05/2007 21:48

Have you already left him feedback? If not, make a very personal or threatening remark, forcing ebay to remove both remarks!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/05/2007 21:48

What Franny said.

Rise above it. Be very polite, amenable etc.

chilledmama · 30/05/2007 21:49

Soothing vibes...

My DH is ironing while I watch TV and MN!!!

talcy0 · 30/05/2007 21:52

I had an arsey buyer once...just kept emailing 'where is my phone?'

Did what franny says, ...he did leave me a positive, but just wrote 'nice ite'.
Man of few words....and fewer manners

If he leaves neg, just back it up politelyy with explanation

sixlostmonkeys · 30/05/2007 21:58

The neg won't bother me tbh - best to get the first out of the way. I'll just leave a calm reply and that will be that.

Story is - he bought friday - too late for posting. i don't do saturdays (family day) then it was bank holiday. Yesterday and today had unexpected hospital with ds. I messaged him and explained and apoligised. i assured him it would be sent tomorrow.

I've since explained that ebay allow 7 days for a seller to post - but he's just getting so arsey.
5 days! FIVE DAYS!!

99% of the time i send within 24 hrs - the 1st FIRST time I'm delayed and I get the buyer from hell

How long was it between his purchase and your postage (Bank Holiday weekend taken into account)?

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 21:59

X-post. Question answered.

He's an arse.

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 22:03

Men are much more likely to post neg that women in my experience.

I sold a pair of trousers a month ago. They were gorgeous (brand new). I got an email from the husband of the recipient, telling me there was blood and oil on them! I'd bought them straight from the retailer for re-sale and they were spotless. I knew they were.

He said he'd be happy with a part-refund, as he was sure the stain would come out.

I told him to send them straight back so I could look at the stains in question. Then I would give him a 100% refund.

Funnily enough, he posted me positive the next day. He was trying it on. It seems to me that this fella is too.

chilledmama · 30/05/2007 22:06

ARSE

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 22:10

AAAAARRRRRRSSSEEE *

Ahem ... 'Go placidly amid the noise and haste ...'

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/05/2007 22:19

SLM...I waited 12 days before now for an item without hearing anything. I started sending emails etc....

Finally, on day 14 he got back to me, told me that he had been in an accident and broken his pelvis, but, in any case he would refund my postage and sent me a cheque for the postage costs along with the item.

Worth offering discounted postage?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/05/2007 22:20

Oh, and I left him positive feedback....

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 22:21

Very sensible, VVVQV
