Buyer Not Received Tracking Saying Otherwise

Can you advise please?

Small parcel was sent using Royal Mail signed for service.
Buyer hasn't received. Tracking showing it was signed for by someone with a different name.
Buyer has 20 transactions, 100%. Seems genuine.

What would you do?

Let them open a case against you. You have the tracking number to their confirmed address. You've done all you can.

I had this when I sold a phone. He said he didn't get it but tracking said otherwise. eBay seemed to refund him and let me keep the money too

OP unless buyer has an official Royal Mail sticker on their door requesting that undelivered parcels are returned to the sorting office, Royal Mail will deliver 'signed for' parcels to neighbours. So it may be that this is what has happened.

I've just spoken to eBay and they said not to worry and that I am covered if they decide to pursue things. Basically what NT53NJT said.

Interestingly the delivery address was a Supermarket with an employee code. I've only ever had that once before but I won't be accepting that set up again. The person who signed used their own name so he should be able to track them down in theory.

So the Sainsbury's was the buyer's chosen click and collect location. I won't be allowing that again - as convenient as it supposedly is for the buyer, it just seems like an extra step for things to fuck up.

To opt out of Click and Collect.
