Royal Mail 2nd class postage option disappeared - why?

I'm quite new to selling on ebay but have successfully sold clothes, shoes, costume jewellery etc over past few months and posted to buyers using Royal Mail 2nd class postage at £2.95. Today this option has disappeared (it was there yesterday) and it seems the only 2nd class option is now Signed For at a cost of £3.95. Can anyone explain what's going on? Surely I should be able to choose my method of posting sold items!

Really? OK so it's me missing a tick box or not choosing an option then I guess. But I'm not doing anything different on a new listing this evening to yesterday and after adding my selling price and moving down page to Postage I get just Choose Postage which takes me to the Shutl and higher price Royal Mail option or a Click & Collect. Nothing else. I will keep looking but something has definitely changed!

Not just you - missing for me last week and I couldn't resolve it.

So what did you do Mummymummums? Just go with the Signed For option at £3.95? I wouldn't be happy to pay an extra pound if I was the buyer. Not happy with this Ebay situation but sleepy now so will re-think in the morning. Thanks for replies.

I'll be listing more tonight it'll be interesting to see what happens. Usually if eBay are changing there conditions they email you. It'll certainly put a lot of folk of increasing postage .

Hi I've just put a few things on eBay I'm still getting £2.95 postage option 2nd class? Have you updated the eBay app or not using phone to list? Maybe that's the issue??

Quick update; I've just relisted and added new items and - guess what - Royal Mail 2nd class postage @£2.95 option has been reinstated! Fingers crossed it stays that way. Thanks for your comments.
