i've been asked to reveal my reserve price on an item. i want to do whatever will make it sell (obviously reserve is bare minimum i would accept for item, but am hoping for more).

in your selling experience, do i reveal or not?

well it's either £50 or £100 etc isn't it?

what would be the advantage to you in not revealing it? I think reserve prices can be frustrating for buyers. The person is obviously interested, I would tell them.

no sadly not and its such a gorgeous item too, something i'd love to keep if i didn't need the money!!

In that case, I'd email your reserve and see what the response is. You can always lower it or accept nearest offer when the time comes.

I must say when I see a reserve price I tend to assume it'll be beyond my means - and it might not.

I think it's best not to reveal the reserve. if you reveal the person may think 'oh, that's too much for me' and not bother bidding at all - whereas, if he were to bid he will help push the other bidders up.
