Asking me to remove Customs fees!!

I sent a lot of items abroad (from UK), for this I use eBay's Global Shipping Program. (Oh I also buy a few bits too ..and pay my customs fees!)

Person in Taiwan won one of my auction listings today. I get a stroppy email back soon after. eBay send out his invoice and included his customs fees (of about £25.00). Normally I'd never know as I'm not privy to what shipping they charge (I always charge free postage to the GSP centre - eBay bill the buyer for what they charge for shipping FROM there) nor the customs fees, but he sent a screen shot.
He's asked me to remove them ..or he won't pay! Says I'm dishonest as I didn't mention customs fees in my listing .
Obviously I cannot remove these! I have messaged him.
I'd like to offer the item to the next bidder but I guess I have to wait for a reply/ his decision? Do I have to cancel the sale myself?
Also if he leaves me negative feedback I'm assuming (well hoping!) eBay would be able to remove it?

I send , not I sent..

I’d reply and tell him

A - you cant remove them, they are added on by eBay, not you.

And

B - even if you could, he would still have to pay them when the goods arrived in his country.

If he leaves negative FB in regards to this, eBay will remove it if you ask.

ok..he's replied and accepted my explanation but wants to cancel sale.

I would cancel; tell him I was sending him the cancellation notice so that the contract is formally broken. As soon as that's cancelled he gets his money back.

Lucky escape.

ugh. Not having a good week so far re eBay. I have another current eBay thread saying how I had to cancel someone else as they refused to pay customs fees and asked me to remove them

Be polite in comms with them. make sure to put them on your blocked bidders list as soon as you have your selling fees back.
