Seller not selling

Won an item on eBay via auction. After bidding ended the seller has messaged to say that they now don’t want to sell item for the price, and that they “forgot to place a reserve on the auction”. Value of auction is circa £120, which is pretty fair for the goods imo.

However I’ve noticed seller sold the same bag the previous day, (I had been following that auction too can see the ended listing - same pics, same description, same user name). That auction raise £165 with no reserve.

Thoughts?

Raise it with EBay?

Item has been resisted again, with same starting price and no reserve.

Seller is either very forgetful or a complete chancer!

Definitely raise a complaint with ebay. I'm totally fed up with people on there .

Have left negative feedback and raised a complaint. Ironically, when I advised the seller of this she threatened to raise a complaint against me for non payment.

Struggling how that would work out, as I paid and she refunded and cancelled listing ‘item broken’ - despite same item being relisted. That and given eBay would have full site of our conversation, her refusal to sell and the her threat....

You’ve got the messages from seller as proof. They’re an idiot.

Hmmm, to add to suspicion the auction for the previous sale of the bag (same photos, descriptions, etc) ended Friday late evening. The ‘buyer’ of this bag has left a positive review after my negative one today.

Doubtful a genuine buyer would have receive the bag that quick (and I don’t think she has more than one bag). The ‘buyer’ also has zero reviews/history. Which probably mean she is bidding for the bag to push the price up, ‘won’ the previous auction and now left herself positive feedback.

Also she’s apparently disputing my negative review, and has complained to eBay that I’m rude. 🤔

Is there anyway to make a complaint to eBay without using their drop down menus (which don’t seem to be appropriate in this case)?

You can report her as a NPS Non Performing Seller and also for suspected shill bidding here is the help page pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/seller-shill-bidding.html

Ebay will know if it was the same IP address for both accounts, it's sounds as if it will be so I guess she'll be banned from eBay shortly.
