What alternatives are there to ebays GSP ? What is the best thing to do when offering international postage in order to get pricing correct.

Im not happy that my buyers are charged extra for GSP

isn't GSP better for seller, b/c you have full proper tracking? Not something to be sniffed at. How much cheaper do you think you could ship the items for, internationlly?

Ive had messages from people saying they wont put bids in as GSP will charge an extra $40. So potentially im loosing out as GSP put buyers off? Royal mail will offer international tracking ?

How heavy is your item, all packaged up? And how big? I'm curious so want to look up what shipping charge you could get.

Fair enough $40 is quite dear. £17.35 to post with Royal Mail or about $24 to the buyer, that includes tracked delivery. Even when GBP was much stronger, still should have been ~ $30.

Personally I prefer GSP. Some countries can have horrendous postal services, so if they open a not received case, all you need to do is prove it was delivered to the U.K. based ebay GSP Centre.

It’s not great postage wise for the customers, but it saves me headaches.

I’m not 100% sure but if you enter the exact parcel weight and dimensions into the listings it might reduce the shipping cost ebay charges? At the moment I think they are just making an estimate.

no... I read the default minimum shipping charge is (some specific service, global priority?) and that costs $35 at current exchange rate, but was more when GBP was stronger against USD. This topic is common in Ebay discussion forums, how $40 is the minimum charge as a result. Lots of unhappy sellers.
