UK bids only, winner is abroad.

Please can you help me?
I sold an item on eBay and it was UK bids only.
The winning bid was from mainland Europe.
Can I offer the item to the second highest bidder?
What should I do?
The winner has sent me a message but it's in a different language.

I think it's in hand now. Contacted ebay and got somebody useless, then sombody helpful.

For future reference you need to set your seller preferences to block countries you don't want to ship to. Would be a good idea to wade through ALL of My Ebay settings in case there is something else that would be useful while you are at it.

Ooh thanks. I have cancelled the order but am running the risk of getting a defect. Buyer hasn't paid.

Can I make a second chance offer to other bidders now or do I need to wait until the cancellation has been agreed?

For future reference, if you select “issue with address” (or something along those lines) as the reason for cancellation, you don’t get a defect.
