I'm a fool and made a postage mistake

I've recently sold a few things on eBay and somehow managed to print off two postage labels for Hermes for one buyer and none for another and so sent two sold items to one buyer. They won't respond to my messages and I can see it's been delivered.
I've no comeback have I?

If they won’t respond to you, then realistically, no. (Unless it’s worth taking them to the small claims court, which I’m
Guessing it’s not?)

If you ask ebay they will give you their phone number so you could try calling them?

How much is the item worth?

It sold for just under £20 so it's not really worth it. I'm just kicking myself at my stupidity and basic error. Oh well lesson learnt!

That's really annoying that they're not responding to you. I did something similar recently but the buyer who had both items was very co-operative. We sorted it out by me emailing her a postage label for the correct buyer and she kindly posted it out to her. I think I also refunded her part of the payment she'd made to cover her trouble.

Maybe your buyer doesn't want the hassle of posting back to you - perhaps you could compromise as I did and offer a small refund for her item if she posts it to the correct buyer. (It would be better than losing the item and having to refund the whole amount to buyer no2)

Good luck. I've never done this since and I'm sure you won't!

Thanks @Gingefringe I did try that as well as an enticement and offered to arrange for the courier to collect from her so no real hassle but nothing. Looking at her items for sale she sells a lot of similar items and so I feel she will look at it as a lucky bonus for her. Oh well lesson learnt Confused
