"great playwear" = completey trashed clothing

"small mark, may come out in wash" = have scrubbed and bleached this, and it's STILL there

no mention of "smoke & pet-free" = will arrive hairy and stinking of fags

"comes up small" = shrank in tumble drier

any more?

'Worn once' - for a seven week period during which I hiked across the country.

whomovedmychocolate · 07/05/2007 21:44

'Well loved' - completely fu**ed, fit for the ragman
'treasured' - looks like I might have dug it out the garden.

I avoid any with page after page of luridly coloured writing about how they don't want time-wasters, and they expect payment within x days, and because of so many non-payers they'll do this and that, and how they describe everything exactly and don't do refunds and blah blah blah on and on ad nauseum.

I did a clothing search by distance. Some bloke within 5 miles of my house sells pants with extra photos! How do they get away with that? I wonder if I know them?

Gameboy · 07/05/2007 21:47

Rach - eurgh! Do you mean used pants ?

Doesn't specify- scared to ask as they would have my email/ebay ID! Bit gross though. They also do used socks. I was only seeing if there were bargains to be had locally to save on postage!

WOW!

oh and one person selling loads of clothes in all sizes - all have been worn once.
I imagine a woman starting off the day as a size 8, by mid-day she's a 12 (changes clothes) mid afternoon she a 14 (changes Clothes) tea time a 16 (changes) evening a 18 (changes) by midnight she's a 26 and has a big pile of diff size clothing, all worn once, ready for ebay

My particular faves are those who include the word 'BARGIN' (spelled incorrectly like that) in the title. Just drags you in just to see what other corkers there are in the description.

whomovedmychocolate · 07/05/2007 22:35

Sixlostmonkeys - you don't know, there might have been an amateur transvestite night in Topshop

whomovedmychocolate · 07/05/2007 22:40

Oh hilarious -someone has listed a satin top as a 'stain top'

now do I tell her or do I just mock???

Well duh!

hk78 · 08/05/2007 23:01

sixlostmonkeys i know what you mean about lots of different sizes 'worn once' but honestly to use myself as an example, i sell my own stuff, for a friend, husband, mum and dad, obviously all different sizes/styles etc so it might be genuine sometimes
