Withdrawing an item from an auction

I have an item of clothing on to finish in 2days, it has 3 watchers no bids. I think I have underpriced it and if I wait a few months it will fetch more as it will be the right season for that item.
Can I withdraw it?

Yes you can, as long as there is more than 24 hours to run. Just go to the listing and there should be an option to cancel.

PS just be aware that clothing doesn’t fetch much in general on eBay unless it’s a really desirable item, so if bare this in mind.

Rather than cancelling you can increase the auction price instead, as long as it has more than 24 hours remaining. I would do that. If you cancel auctions on a regular occurrence Ebay take note and can penalise you. This is because they don't want sellers to disappoint buyers. Ebay are all for buyers. It can be classed as a defect on your account depending which option you select why your cancelling. But if your just doing it this once then it's nothing to worry about.
But yes what Lottie said you can cancel it of course.

Thanks that’s great. I have ended it and will re list in autumn. There was a message saying ending auctions disappoints buyers. However no one had bid yet.
It’s true red wine, eBay is all about the buyers.

Buyers are Gods! Mere sellers like us must please the Gods or we feel the wrath of the Ebay people 😂

You can revise items as long as there are no bids .

Now you will never know how many people would have bid at the end of the auction or had snipes set up and may not have been watching the listing Wink.

I would have increased the price to the minimum I was prepared to accept, but then I am trying to have a clear out whereas you just want a good price.
