Temporarily changing address

My mum has a desirable but very large and heavy piece of furniture to sell. She has no idea how to use EBay so has asked if I can help to sell it on her behalf. I'm happy to do this but as we don't live near each other I would need to change my ebay address to her address so it appears in local searches. It's much too big to bring to my house.

Is this an acceptable thing to do? We would ask for cash on collection rather than go through PayPal, so don't need to change that.

Do you think it’s likely to sell for much? Furniture generally doesn’t, unless it’s something desirable.

Personally I’d try Facebook and / or gumtree before ebay, they’re a lot less hassle for collection only items IMHO, plus no selling fees.

You are able to set a location of the item when listing it. Towards the bottom of the listing page it shows:

*Item Location .... Town, Postcode, UK Change

Click on the change button and just set the new location for that one particular item. Theres no need to have to change your whole registered address. :)
