Refunds, paypal blah blah blah

I sold an item and some of the decoration has dropped off! I told the buyer to send it back and i'd give her a full refund.

I've been told people don't usually refund the return postage but it seems a bit unfair not to when i've clearly sold her something faulty (and it is, i've checked it tonight, quite a few bits are loose and it hasn't been tampered with). So anyway, i've tried to refund her through paypal and it won't let me refund an amount over what she paid. How do i do it?

never had to do this but i'm thinking a full refund then an extra payment to her for the cost of the postage.

Don't use refund option just make a payment to her email address and write in the payment comments that it's a full return including return postage for item. The go to eBay an open the item in your sold area go to log an unpaid dis. and put that the item has been returned and refunded and email will also refund all there charges for the item so your not out of pocket.
