Is a postal voucher like cash?

Am I right in thinking that I don't have to let this clear in my bank account, it is like cash and as soon as I have received it, I can post the goods out?

I'm 99% sure that's the case. I think you buy postal orders and they work as cash.

did you mean a postal order? In my mind you had to cash those at the Post Office...

squonk postal orders are instant cash. If they are crossed then you have to put them in a bank account otherwise you can take them to the post office and be given the cash there.
