Why would you sell something, still be selling other items but not answer email re: missing item?

For goodness sake....if I sell things, I post them within a few days and if my buyer contacts me to say the item hasn't arrived, I answer them and try to find the item. It has been 3 weeks now and the item hasn't arrived and she won't answer my emails (all polite) She is still selling other items. WHY sell if she can't be bothered to answer perfectly reasonable questions!!! Right, rant over. Thanks for listening.

I'm still waiting for payment for 2 items i sold last sunday
I know it's only £3.20 but still!!
I have sent them a couple of e-mails but they haven't replied.
Gonna open dispute later.

It might be worth sending a not-so-polite email. What's her feedback like? Try threatening to report her to ebay. I sold a record a month or so ago & when it hadn't arrived 2 weeks after posting I refunded the guy. I had proof of posting & was all set to put in a claim against the Post Office when the guy emailed to say it had arrived & paid for it again. How honest is that? It was sent standard 2nd class so he could have kept quiet & I would have been none the wiser - I was well impressed!

For my buyer their feedback is 97.7%
I even combined and lowered the postage cos they won 2 items.
I will send them one more e-mail saying that if they don't pay by tomorrow evening i will open a dispute.
What else can i do??
Dh says just open it anyway,no more e-mails.

yup - open a dispute - this usually prompts a reply

Imawurzel · 22/04/2007 20:11

ok doke.
Lets see what happens.

3sEnough · 23/04/2007 17:33

Her feedback is OK although she has 2 recent similar problem negs. The only problem is that on both she left neg in reply....

Have you still not heard from her?
How did you pay?
Open a dispute so that if worse comes to the worst you can claim a refund.

The FB will be up to you (It's optional)If you don't want a retaliatory neg then don't leave her FB. If you want to let others know what she is like then simply reply to the neg she leaves you with a simple line eg- this is a retaliatory neg, seller did not send item or communicate at all - it won't harm your reputation

Nope - still not and just left another email - 16 days now since payment - I;ve said that I'll file a complaint in 2 days if no contact. Once the month is up (!!) I;ll report her. Grrr

A month? sorry i don't follow, why are you going to wait a month? You can open a dispute after 10 days.

I don't know what you mean by report her. Do you mean open a dispute?

You are more patient than me! If she has had two recent similar problems then the chances are you aren't going to get your goods so i say get the dispute started and escalate to a claim.

good luck
