If someone leaves me neutral feedback

Why don't I get the chance to respond?
Someone bought an item from me recently, and I had a bit of a carry on with the payment, they kept wanting to pay by western union, or wanted my bank details so they could do a bank transfer (they were in italy). Anyway they finally paid by paypal (they were claiming that they couldn't access their paypal account intially), on the 6th April, then of course it was Easter and the bank holiday. I posted it that week (11th or 12th). They have left me neutral feedback, only the second I have ever received, and have written "I paid for item on 4th April (a lie, it was the 6th) and the item didn't arrive until 19th".

I feel that it's unfair for them to put that, as it's hardly my fault the item never arrived quickly is it? I left them a good feedback, saying "good ebayer, communicated well, and after initial problmes, payment arrived"

You can respond to the feedback they laft you I think.

Yes you can respond to the feedback.
The fact that you left a very good reasonable pos FB makes you look like a good seller should anyone look into this before buying from you.

I reckon it's best as a seller to wait until the buyer leaves feedback before you leave yours as you then know the transaction is complete and the buyer is happy.

how to respond to feedback

saltire · 20/04/2007 10:26

Ok, thanks. DH says that anyone looking at my feedback before buying something would see that it's a one off, every other feedback is great, commenting on fast delivery!

Yes he is right
Try to to let it bother you - tho that's easier said than done - I had one and it made me soooo cross all day

Chocolateface · 20/04/2007 10:38

I agree, try not to let it bother you. I really wanted to leave negative feedback for a really horrid buyer once, but was too scare incase they did the same for me. I wish I had now. Have you left them feedback?

Wonder i its the same gut I had once? He didnt read the listing properly re payment, tried by credit card that I'd said not to, spent 2 weeks sending a cheque, which I did say would have to clear before I posted the item. Then left feedback along the lines of 'good item, after all your problems with accepting my payment'
